Terms of Service

Welcome to Howlers (howlers.io). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Howlers is an AI-powered voice and text platform that lets creative professionals and service businesses create guided handoff sessions for their clients. Senders create agents loaded with context; recipients interact with those agents via a shareable link.

2. Operator

Howlers is operated by John Cihangir, a sole proprietor based in the United States. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator. “You” refers to the person or entity using the Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at john@howlers.io if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Howlers offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time via the billing portal in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you provide to the Service (guide text, checklists, instructions, uploaded media). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit that content solely to operate the Service on your behalf.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of content you provide. Do not upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights.

7. AI-Generated Output — Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate voice and text responses. AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You acknowledge that:

• AI responses are generated based on the context you provide and may not reflect complete or current information.
• AI agents may generate information not present in the sender’s original brief, including fabricated details such as incorrect dates, times, locations, or pricing. This is a known characteristic of AI systems.
• Neither the operator nor the sender guarantees the accuracy of AI-generated responses. You should independently verify any details communicated by the AI agent before relying on them for business decisions, bookings, or client commitments.
• We are not liable for any loss, missed bookings, miscommunications, or damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service to generate spam, misleading communications, or impersonate others.
• Exceed reasonable usage limits or abuse the API in a way that degrades service for others.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers including Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payments), xAI (AI processing), and ElevenLabs (text-to-speech). Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms of these providers. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting john@howlers.io. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Georgia.
